The US women's team 'Sporty Divas' won the 'Indo-Gulf International Throwball Championship' held in Bahrain under the auspices of the 'International Throwball Federation'.Organized in partnership with 'The Indian Club Bahrain', four teams from Bahrain and one each from America, India, and Saudi competed in this tournament. The US team won against Saudi Arabia in the semi-final and won the championship against India in the final.

America's 'Sporty Divas' team consists of Vasantha Kavuri, Kavya Vurrakula, Nithya Soundararajan, Shabnam Samshuddin, Sai Lakshmi Garlapati, Srujana Kunchi and Gautami Yalavarthy.TANA Secretary Raja Kasukurthy, TANA Sports Coordinator Naga Panchumurthy, and TANA International Coordinator Tagore Mallineni sponsored this team. The winning team thanked their leaders and family members for encouraging them.
