How about: Ismael El Mayo Zambada Captured; El Chapo Son Detained?

Mexico, US: Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada, One of the World's Most Notorious Drug Lords, Captured; El Chapo's Son Also Detained

Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada, a key figure in the Sinaloa cartel for decades alongside Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman, was arrested by US authorities in Texas on Thursday. Known for his low-profile approach and carrying a $15 million bounty on his head, Zambada has been a major player in the cartel’s smuggling operations.

In addition to Zambada, Joaqun Guzmn Lpez, the son of the infamous El Chapo, was also apprehended. The arrests took place in El Paso, though the Justice Department has not yet released specific details about their capture.

For years, Zambada and Guzman Lpez evaded law enforcement while orchestrating the trafficking of massive quantities of drugs into the United States, along with the accompanying violence. FBI Director Christopher Wray emphasized that the men will now face justice in the United States.

Attorney General Merrick Garland reaffirmed the Justice Department’s commitment to combating the fentanyl crisis, stating, 'Fentanyl is the deadliest drug threat our country has ever faced, and the Justice Department will not rest until every single cartel leader, member, and associate responsible for poisoning our communities is held accountable.'
