South Park Commons Launches $575M Fund, AUM Reaches $2 Billion Under Agarwal

San Francisco, California, USA: Venture capital firm South Park Commons (SPC), led by Indian-origin General Partner Aditya Agarwal, has announced the launch of Fund IV, a $575 million investment fund aimed at helping entrepreneurs identify promising ideas and build long-term companies.

With the launch of the new fund, SPC's total assets under management (AUM) have grown to $2 billion, significantly strengthening its ability to support founders beyond the initial stages of company formation.

Announcing the development on X, Agarwal said the firm believes the gap between technological possibilities and real-world innovation has never been greater.

According to SPC, the newly launched Fund IV reflects nearly a decade of experience guiding founders through the earliest stages of startup development. The firm noted that its community has now expanded to more than 1,200 technologists and entrepreneurs.

Founded in 2016, South Park Commons has focused on supporting entrepreneurs during the "-1 to 0" phase—the period before a startup finalizes its core product or business idea. The firm said this philosophy has helped produce multiple top-performing venture funds and successful startups, including Baseten, Gamma, Render, Goodfire, Luma, and Profound.

With Fund IV, SPC plans to extend its involvement well beyond a company's launch, reinforcing long-term partnerships with founders as their businesses grow.

Agarwal said the declining cost of experimentation and rapid advances in technology are creating unprecedented opportunities for innovators, making this an ideal time to invest in the next generation of startups.
