Minnesota, USA: A tragic incident unfolded in Minnesota, USA, where a 25-year-old student from Telangana was found dead under unexplained circumstances on Sunday, December 22.
The deceased, identified as Vamsi from Madannapet village in Kamalapur mandal, Hanumakonda district, had moved to Minnesota in July 2023 to pursue a Master's degree. He had recently taken up a part-time job.
According to sources, another youth from Hanumakonda discovered Vamsi’s body inside a car near his apartment around 9:30 PM and immediately notified the family.
Telangana Student Killed in Chicago, USA
This marks the second tragic incident involving a student from Telangana in the US recently. On November 29, a 26-year-old student named N Sai Teja was fatally shot in Chicago.
Sai Teja, who hailed from Raparthi Nagar in Khammam city, had arrived in the US in August to pursue a Master's degree at Concordia University, Wisconsin. He was working at a mall when he was attacked by robbers who shot him after stealing his money.
The incident left his parents, Koteshwar Rao and Vani, devastated, with friends and relatives gathering at their residence to offer condolences.
Hyderabad Student Dies in Accidental Shooting
Earlier in November, another student from Hyderabad, Aryan Reddy, lost his life in a tragic accident in Atlanta, Georgia. The 23-year-old, a second-year Master's student at Kansas State University, was cleaning his newly purchased hunting gun during his birthday celebrations on November 13 when it accidentally discharged.
Aryan’s family originally hails from Bhuvanagiri but currently resides in Uppal.
These recurring tragedies have sparked growing concern within the Indian diaspora over the safety and well-being of students studying abroad.
