In their shared announcement, the university leaders noted that Anand’s professional experience and subject matter expertise position him well to guide the Grossman School of Business, especially in areas involving interdisciplinary studies and newly evolving fields within business education.

At present, Anand holds the role of Associate Dean for Academic Programs at the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University. Anand completed his doctoral studies in management at Arizona State University. His academic credentials also include a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science with honors in Physics from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, along with an MBA in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
