NRI Sriram Krishnan Named Senior AI Policy Advisor by Donald Trump

Washington, USA: Sriram Krishnan, an Indian-American tech entrepreneur and former General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, has been appointed as the Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy by President-elect Donald Trump. Krishnan, 41, has a notable track record as a personal investor in more than 20 companies, including SpaceX.

Acknowledging the prestigious role, Krishnan expressed his gratitude on X (formerly Twitter), sharing his excitement about contributing to America’s AI leadership. "I’m deeply honored to serve our country and work on ensuring the continued leadership of the United States in AI alongside @DavidSacks. Thank you, @realDonaldTrump, for this incredible opportunity," he wrote.

Earlier, Trump took to the Truth Social platform to announce the appointment, emphasizing Krishnan's role in shaping and coordinating AI policies across the government. According to Trump’s post, Krishnan will collaborate closely with David Sacks and the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology to advance the nation’s position in AI.

Trump also highlighted Krishnan’s career milestones, noting that he began his journey in tech as a founding member of Microsoft’s Windows Azure team.
