London, UK: Priya Lakhani, the founder and CEO of CENTURY Tech, has been appointed to the UK’s Council for Science and Technology (CST) to advise the Prime Minister on science and technology policies. Lakhani, an Indian-origin entrepreneur, brings extensive expertise in AI and data science, having previously served as a business advisor to the UK’s coalition government and a member of the UK AI Council. Her work includes developing AI-powered educational tools and co-founding the Institute for Ethical AI in Education.
Lakhani’s role on the CST, which provides strategic guidance to the UK government, aims to strengthen the country’s science and technology leadership. The CST recently added eight new members with expertise in AI, data science, and chemical engineering, including Lakhani, Professor Dame Lynn Gladden, Mark Enzer OBE, and others.
