Shashikant Vallepalli was elected as the Chairman of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) Foundation.

NRI: A new executive committee has been elected for the Foundation, the flagship arm of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA). Shashikant Vallepalli was appointed as the chairman of the foundation. Vidyadhar Garapati was elected as Secretary, Vinay Maddineni as Treasurer and Kiran Gogineni as Joint Treasurer. Shashikant, who served as the coordinator of Tana Foundation's giving program, previously served as the treasurer, secretary and board chairman of the Boston Telugu Association. Many service programs were organized in Telugu states.
