Can South Asian Voters Secure Kamala Harris Lead Over Trump in Key States?

A recent poll of South Asian voters in key US battleground states shows Vice President Kamala Harris with a strong lead over former President Donald Trump ahead of the upcoming presidential election. Conducted by GBAO and commissioned by the Indian American Impact Fund, the survey included 600 South Asian voters across Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, with a large percentage of Indian Americans. Harris is favored by this electorate, which views her policies and heritage aligning with its priorities, particularly on issues like the economy, inflation, and abortion.

The poll revealed Harris holds a 48-point lead over Trump among South Asian voters, who are highly motivated to support her. Indian Americans, in particular, express pride in Harris's candidacy, emphasizing her Indian heritage. The Indian American Impact Fund, along with Future Forward PAC, is now launching a $3.5 million advertising campaign aimed at South Asian and Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) voters to boost support for Harris further. The campaign will focus on key issues such as economic stability, abortion rights, and caregiving, with targeted ads across TV, digital, and radio platforms in critical states.
