India House London Celebrates Christmas 2024 with Indian Delicacies and Festive Cheer

London, UK:  India House in London transformed into a festive haven to welcome the Christmas season. The venue was beautifully adorned with lights, setting the stage for a vibrant celebration.

The event was graced by the Apostolic Nuncio to the UK, HE Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendía, along with distinguished guests from the House of Commons, councillors, business and media leaders, and members of the Indian diaspora.

Indian High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram Doraiswami, and Archbishop Buendía lit the Christmas tree together, followed by the ceremonial cutting of the Christmas cake, marking the start of the festive season.

Vikram Doraiswami shared, “Across India, the festive season is celebrated with immense joy by all communities, which is what makes this time of year and the spirit of India so special.”

The evening’s festivities were enhanced by a "Jazz and Carols" concert, performed by the acclaimed Indian tenor Anando Mukerjee and Bernardi Music. Their soulful performance added a magical touch to the celebration at India House.

Guests were treated to a delightful spread of Indian delicacies, showcasing the diversity of Indian cuisine. Special highlights included coffee from Coorg and Koraput, Indian wines and spirits, chocolates made from organic Kerala cacao, and an array of flavorful snacks and desserts, all embodying the rich tastes of India.
