Meenakshi Narula Ahamed, an acclaimed freelance journalist and author, has made waves again with her new book, Indian Genius: The Meteoric Rise of Indians in America.

The book showcases a collection of influential Indian Americans, including names like Satya Nadella, Chandrika Tandon, Siddhartha Mukherjee, and Fareed Zakaria. In a conversation with New India Abroad, Ahamed explained the criteria for selecting the featured individuals: "By the end of 2006, the emergence of Indian CEOs, doctors, and public policy experts had become highly visible. Indians were increasingly shaping American society, with an influence far greater than their population size."
