New York, USA: Passengers can now enjoy premium cabins, onboard Wi-Fi, upgraded meals, and stylish serviceware.
Air India has launched its cutting-edge A350 aircraft on a new non-stop route between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Delhi, starting January 2, 2025. This marks a major development in the airline's transcontinental offerings.
With this addition, all Air India non-stop flights between the New York metropolitan area and Delhi now feature the advanced A350-900. The airline had previously rolled out A350 service on its John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Delhi route on November 1, 2024.
The A350-900 boasts Air India’s revamped cabin designs, a top-rated inflight entertainment system, free Wi-Fi access, enhanced meal options, and refined serviceware. The aircraft also brings the Premium Economy class to all flights between Delhi and the New York area. This dedicated cabin offers 24 seats with extra legroom in a comfortable 2-4-2 arrangement.
Business Class passengers can enjoy private suites equipped with fully lie-flat beds, sliding privacy doors, and direct aisle access. Premium Economy travelers benefit from additional space and an elevated travel experience in a dedicated section of the aircraft.
To commemorate the Newark service launch, Air India’s cabin crew celebrated by recreating iconic New York City scenes and landmarks from famous Hollywood films. Donning uniforms designed by Manish Malhotra, they paid homage to moments such as “Lunch Atop a Skyscraper,” Central Park’s Gapstow Bridge from Home Alone 2, and Scent of a Woman at The Pierre’s Rotunda Room.
