NRI Tragedy: 9 Workers Killed, 73 Injured in UAE Bus Crash, 2 from Telangana

Abu Dhabi, UAE: A tragic road accident in the United Arab Emirates has claimed the lives of nine workers and left 73 others injured. The accident occurred as the workers were traveling by bus back to their desert camp after purchasing their monthly groceries.

Among the deceased, two were expatriates from Telangana. One of them, Sher Eranna, was from Dammannapeta village in Medipally Mandal, Karimnagar district. Additionally, five other Telugu expatriates from various districts sustained injuries.

The incident, which took place on Sunday night, involved a bus traveling to Ajman and KhorFakh Khan. Authorities stated that the driver lost control of the vehicle due to brake failure, leading to the tragic accident. All the workers were employed at a major construction company in Ajman and regularly traveled to the city once a month for their essential purchases.

As of now, the Indian Consulate in Dubai and Sharjah Police have not released further details on the identities of the victims. Police have also cautioned the public against spreading unverified information about the incident on social media.
