PM Modi Lauds NRI Jonas Masetti for Promoting Indian Culture and Vedanta in the West

Brasilia, West: Jonas Masetti’s Sanskrit rendition of the Ramayan in Rio de Janeiro showcased the influence of Indian culture abroad.

Brazilian Vedanta teacher Jonas Masetti, along with his team, performed the Ramayan in Sanskrit for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Rio de Janeiro. This event demonstrated their dedication to preserving and spreading India’s ancient traditions.

Prime Minister Modi lauded Masetti and his team for their commitment to Indian philosophy and culture, particularly their efforts in promoting Vedanta and the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

Recognized by the Government of India as a Vedic teachings ambassador in the West, Masetti is a traditional Vedanta teacher and founder of the Vishva Vidya Organisation in Rio de Janeiro. He has been instrumental in sharing the wisdom of Vedanta and the Bhagavad Gita across Brazil and other Western countries.

Highlighting the global reach of Indian culture, Modi remarked, “It is commendable how Indian culture is making an impact all over the world.”

Previously, Modi acknowledged Masetti’s contributions during a Mann Ki Baat program, appreciating his role in connecting people to Indian philosophy and spirituality.
