Middlesex County, New Jersey, USA: Anjan Karnati, a longtime resident of New Jersey, is running for the position of Middlesex County Commissioner, calling for “change and common sense” in local governance.
After spending 27 years in the United States, the 65-year-old community leader has launched his campaign to bring reform and transparency to the county’s administration. His priorities include reducing property taxes, enhancing neighbourhood safety, and addressing issues related to rapid and unplanned development.
“I believe in prioritising people over politics,” Karnati said, emphasising his vision to strengthen economic growth, simplify regulations for small businesses, and support local industries.
Before entering politics, Karnati spent over 20 years as an IT professional and now runs his own small business. Originally from Hyderabad, India, he holds a master’s degree in statistics and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Osmania University. He moved to the United States in 1998 after working in the banking sector in India.
