Annakut Festival Celebrated with Great Devotion in San Jose

San Jose, California, USA: A grand celebration of the Annakut festival took place at Shreemaya Krishnadhham in San Jose, California, on October 26, organised by the Bay Area Youth Vaishnav Parivar.

The Annakut festival, observed on the fourth day of Diwali, is a cherished Hindu tradition dedicated to Goddess Annapurna, the divine symbol of nourishment and abundance. Devotees express gratitude by offering a wide variety of dishes to the goddess, accompanied by prayers and devotional rituals.

The atmosphere at Shreemaya Krishnadhham was filled with spiritual enthusiasm and community unity, as thousands of devotees participated in Annakut Darshan, Aarti, and Mahaprasad.

Several local leaders and public officials joined the celebrations, showing their support and respect for the community. Attendees included San Jose Councilmember David Cohen, Sunnyvale Mayor Larry Klein, and Milpitas Mayor Carmen Montano.

Other dignitaries, such as Santa Clara Councilmember Raj Chahal, Saratoga Councilmember Yan Zhao, and Former Sunnyvale Mayor Tony Spitaleri, were also present to share in the joyous occasion.

Highlighting the unity among local Hindu temples, representatives from the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in San Jose also took part in the festivities, reinforcing the spirit of togetherness and cultural harmony.
