California Senate Honors Indian-Origin Music Prodigy Tiara Abraham for Excellence

Sacramento, California, USA: Indian-origin classical music prodigy Tiara Thankam Abraham received a formal honour from the California State Senate on December 18, when lawmakers adopted a resolution acknowledging her outstanding accomplishments. The citation commended her excellence in music, academic achievement, and dedication to community service

At just 19 years old, Abraham is enrolled in the Doctor of Music program at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She recently completed her Master of Music degree at the same institution. Prior to relocating to Indiana, she distinguished herself academically in her home state of California, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music, summa cum laude, from the University of California, Davis at age 16, after completing high school when she was only 13.

Praising her achievements, California State Senator Angelique Ashby shared on X that she was proud to recognise Abraham, a Sacramento native whose talent, commitment, and compassion serve as an inspiration.

The senator further noted that it was a privilege to present the resolution and honour a young trailblazer who exemplifies the highest ideals of California.
