Beijing : China has achieved a remarkable breakthrough in rocket science by successfully testing its advanced dual-track rocket sled, setting a new speed record. This state-of-the-art track system is expected to be highly beneficial for aviation, space, and defense-related tests. With this achievement, China has joined the ranks of the five countries worldwide possessing this technology.

According to the official newspaper of the Chinese Communist Party, People’s Daily, this is the first dual-track rocket sled system in Asia. It stated that this track could accelerate an 8-ton object to supersonic speeds within just five seconds.The report further revealed that a prototype aircraft recently traveled at a speed of 2,800 km/h (Mach 2.28) on this 6-kilometer-long rocket sled track.
