Stockton, California, USA: Four Killed, 14 Injured in Shooting at Family Event in Stockton, California

A tragic shooting at a family gathering in Stockton, northern California, left four people dead and 10 others injured on the night of November 29, authorities reported.

The incident occurred during a child’s birthday celebration, Stockton’s Vice Mayor Jason Lee wrote on Facebook. “I am coordinating with staff and public safety officials to determine exactly what happened, and I will be seeking answers,” he stated.

Police received reports of gunfire shortly before 6:00 p.m. local time near the 1900 block of Lucile Avenue in Stockton.

San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that around 14 people were shot, with four victims pronounced dead at the scene. In a statement on X, the department added, “This is an active investigation, and details are still emerging. Preliminary findings indicate this may have been a targeted attack, and all possibilities are being considered.”

Authorities have not released information regarding the suspect or suspects involved.
