Prince Harold von Hohenzollern, 63, died of a sudden heart attack during a diamond business trip to Namibia. His wife, Josepha, shared the news with deep sorrow on social media.  The pair were married in September 2024 and had been joyfully preparing to welcome their first baby this July.

Josepha, mayor of Leonberg in Baden-Wurttemberg, announced a break from social media and public duties. Known for her musical passion, she earned the nickname "Gana Mayor" and was elected financial mayor in 2021.

Prince Harold belonged to the historic Hohenzollern dynasty, which dates back to 1061, with royal ties to Brandenburg, Prussia, Romania, and the former German Empire.
