Five diners were hurt Friday night when a blaze broke out at Indian Aroma, a popular restaurant in Ilford, east London.

Authorities have arrested a 15-year-old boy and a 54-year-old man in connection with the blaze, which broke out around 9 pm.

Three women and two men suffered serious burns, with two still reported to be in critical condition.

Firefighters battled the flames for ninety minutes as terrified witnesses described scenes of people running out “like a fireball.”

Emergency services treated victims on the spot before rushing them to the hospital.

Police confirmed the suspects are being held on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, while two more possible victims are still being traced.
