External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ambassador-designate Sergio Gor at the UNGA to discuss strengthening India-US ties, trade, defence, energy, and critical minerals.
Both leaders called the talks constructive and emphasized sustained engagement despite recent US tariffs on Indian goods.
Discussions also covered cooperation in the Indo-Pacific and a potential bilateral trade agreement to ease tariff impacts.
