Two Cleveland State University students, 23-year-old Saurav Prabhakar and 20-year-old Manav Patel, tragically died in a horrific accident on May 10 along the Pennsylvania Turnpike when their car lost control, hit a tree, and then collided with a bridge. A third student sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. The crash occurred near Reading Interchange and did not affect traffic.
The Indian Consulate in New York conveyed heartfelt sympathies and pledged full assistance to the bereaved families. The incident has shocked the Indian student community and reignited concerns over road safety for international students in the US.
