Iran announced a ceasefire after missile strikes on Israel, following US President Trump’s claim of a “complete and total ceasefire” starting at 9:30 am IST.
Though Iran initially denied the deal, its foreign minister later signaled a pause in hostilities if Israel ended its aggression.
Despite the announcement, Iranian strikes killed at least three in Israel and targeted US bases in Qatar and Iraq. Trump downplayed the attacks and praised both nations for averting a prolonged war.
The ceasefire was reportedly brokered by Qatar with US support. Iran’s Supreme Leader vowed defiance, saying the nation won’t submit to harassment.
