Israeli Strikes On Yemen Escalate Tensions After Houthi Missile

Israeli warplanes struck several locations in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, on Sunday after Houthi militants launched a missile aimed at Israel, triggering blasts at a fuel station, an energy plant, and spots near the presidential compound, with locals recounting broken glass and chaos in the streets.

These attacks mark the first reported strikes in Yemen since the previous week, when Israel said it had targeted Houthi-controlled energy infrastructure.

However, Tel Aviv has not officially acknowledged responsibility for the latest assault. Videos shared online showed smoke, fireballs, and chaos in the capital.

Despite the assault, Houthi officials vowed to continue operations against Israel, declaring they would not retreat from supporting Gaza.
