JD Vance Blasts Kamala Harris Over Arlington Incident: She Can Go to Hell

USA,Washington: JD Vance sharply criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, telling her she could "go to hell" if she wanted to denounce Donald Trump for attending a ceremony honoring the 13 servicemembers who died during the Afghanistan withdrawal. Vance's comments followed reports of a confrontation between the Trump campaign and an official at Arlington National Cemetery. The official allegedly attempted to prevent them from filming and taking photos in Section 60, the burial site for military personnel who lost their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Michael Tyler, a spokesperson for Harris, described the incident in a CNN interview as "pretty sad" and "not surprising." When asked about the situation during a campaign event in Erie, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, August 28, a visibly upset Vance, Trump's vice presidential pick, retorted that Harris "can go to hell" if she and her team wanted to criticize Trump.

Vance further condemned Harris, accusing her of failing to hold anyone accountable for the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal. "Three years ago, 13 brave, innocent Americans lost their lives, and they died because Kamala Harris didn’t do her job," he said. "There hasn’t been a single investigation or a single person held responsible."

He continued his criticism by calling Harris "disgraceful," arguing that instead of addressing the tragic loss of life, she was more focused on criticizing Trump. "Kamala Harris is so out of touch that she won’t even investigate what happened. And now she wants to criticize Donald Trump for showing up?"

Vance also accused the media of blowing the incident out of proportion. "The altercation at Arlington Cemetery is the media trying to create a story where there isn’t one," he said, emphasizing that Gold Star families wanted Trump there. He downplayed the situation, suggesting it was merely a "minor disagreement" with a cemetery staff member that the media turned into a "national news story."
