Indian-American Kash Patel has been appointed as the new Director of the FBI, making history as the first person of Indian origin to hold this position. His appointment was approved by the U.S. Senate on Thursday.The Senate voted 51 in favor and 49 against Patel’s appointment. Following the confirmation, Patel expressed on the X platform that he is committed to restoring trust in the FBI.Patel thanked President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for appointing him as the 9th FBI Director. He also warned that he would take strong action against those who pose a threat to Americans.
