The report states that individuals linked to the Khalistan movement remain active in the country and support the creation of a separate Khalistan state in India’s Punjab region. The findings come amid strained India-Canada ties over pro-Khalistan activities on Canadian soil.

Indian agencies issued advisories to Canadian authorities, urging tight security due to increasing threats and past attacks on Indian diplomatic missions by pro-Khalistan outfits.
