The hospital admission was due to complications arising from his cancer treatment. Currently, doctors at a hospital in London are providing care to Charles, and he is under medical supervision.

Due to King Charles' hospitalization, all official events scheduled for Thursday and Friday have been postponed. In February 2024, King Charles was diagnosed with cancer and has been undergoing treatment since then. There were also reports that he visited Bengaluru for treatment during this time.Buckingham Palace has expressed hope that Charles will recover soon and return to public duties. However, the Palace has not disclosed the specific type of cancer that Charles is suffering from.
