In the women's section, Ukrainian player Anna Muzychuk, who has won the World Blitz Championship twice, won the Norway Chess title. She scored 16.5 points in the tournament. In the final round, Indian player R. Vaishali gave strong competition, but the Ukrainian star managed to draw. Indian Grandmaster Koneru Humpy drew her final round game, scoring 1.5 points, and finished third with 15 points.
