Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a bilateral ceasefire agreement with Iran, warning of a strong response to any violations. This follows 12 days of intense airstrikes between the two nations after U.S. attacks on Iranian nuclear sites. U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed the ceasefire, which Israel accepted.
According to the Israeli PMO, Netanyahu held talks with key officials, including the Defence Minister and security chiefs, and declared the objectives of Operation Rising Lion fulfilled.
Israel claimed it had eliminated the threat of nuclear and ballistic missiles, taken control of Iranian airspace, and dealt a major blow to Iran's military leadership. The statement also thanked the U.S. for its support in achieving these goals.
