Dubai, UAE: The Consulate General of India in Dubai has officially launched Passport Seva Programme 2.0 (PSP 2.0) for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). The upgraded system came into operation on Tuesday, introducing a new online platform where applicants can register, apply, and manage passport services efficiently.
The initiative aims to shorten processing and waiting times at service centres by making the entire application process more digital and user-friendly.
Under this updated framework, e-passports are now part of the Passport Seva 2.0 system. The integration of this technology is expected to speed up immigration clearance procedures and bring passport-related services in line with global standards.
Applicants can directly upload photos, signatures, and supporting documents to the portal in accordance with visa and documentation guidelines. This will further reduce the workload and streamline processes at BLS International Centres.
According to the Consulate General, this modernisation effort has been implemented to benefit Indian expatriates across the UAE. To use the new system, applicants must first create an account on the official portal, generate and print out the application form, and then book an appointment through BLS International for document submission.
