PM Narendra Modi is in Tokyo (Aug 29–30) for the 15th India-Japan Summit with PM Shigeru Ishiba. Talks cover trade, defence, technology, AI, semiconductors, and cultural ties.
Japan will invest 10 trillion yen (USD 68B) in India over 10 years in AI, semiconductors, green tech, and healthcare.
Both sides will review defence projects like UNICORN, the LUPEX lunar mission, and boost state-prefecture, educational, and cultural cooperation.

He was welcomed with Gayatri Mantra chants and traditional Japanese dance, highlighting strong cultural bonds.
