PM Modi Meets US Intelligence Chief Tulsi Gabbard to Discuss Terrorism and Security

US National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss terrorism and security concerns. Gabbard reaffirmed former US President Donald Trump’s firm stance against Islamic terrorism, calling it a “direct threat” to the American people. She stated that both nations would work together to address this ongoing security challenge.

Speaking on terrorism, Gabbard highlighted that countries like India, Bangladesh, Syria, Israel, and several Middle Eastern nations are significantly affected. She emphasized that both India and the US are working together to counter this threat. PM Modi also acknowledged the severity of the issue and assured coordinated action between the two nations.

Before meeting PM Modi, Gabbard held discussions with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, urging action against the Khalistani terrorist group Sikhs for Justice and its founder Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. Talks also focused on China’s growing military influence in the Indo-Pacific region. Gabbard later attended a security meeting alongside Canada’s Intelligence Chief Daniel Rogers and UK’s National Security Advisor Jonathan Powell, focusing on intelligence-sharing and countering security threats from emerging technologies.
