Novi, Michigan, USA: The Michigan Chapter of Sankara Nethralaya hosted its third annual 5K walk at ITC Sports Park in Novi city. The event was successfully carried out with the efforts of Trustees Pratima Kodali and Ramana Mudiganti, along with Chapter Leads Venkat Gotur and Vijay Perumalla. Volunteers Sai Gopisetty, Sujatha Thamminidi, Teja Jettipally, Vamsi Gopisetty, and a group of youth volunteers also played a major role. Dr. Balareddy Indurthi, President of Sankara Nethralaya, provided valuable guidance, while T. Thyagarajan offered technical support. The walk brought together both longtime supporters and new participants.
During the program, SV Acharya, the Founder of Sankara Nethralaya USA, applauded the Detroit Chapter team for their dedication. President Dr. Balareddy Indurthi, Secretary Vamsi Krishna Eruvar, Treasurer Murthy Rekapalli, Sports Committee Chair Ramesh Chaparala, and Voluntary Committee Chair Ratnakumar Kavutur lent their strong support to the event. The 5K walk was held in a cheerful setting where participants joined with great energy and helped strengthen Sankara Nethralaya’s initiatives.
Several community members and organizations contributed to the success of the gathering, including Rao’s Dinner Restaurant, Sweet Times, SPARC, Megastar Fans, Prasad Katragadda, and Sridevi Gogineni. Students from Novi High School volunteered their services to assist with event operations. Winners of the 5K walk were presented with prizes.
