Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla will pilot the Ax-4 mission launching on June 10 from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. The SpaceX and Ax-4 crew have completed launch rehearsals.
This mission marks the first government-sponsored ISS flight in over 40 years for India, Poland, and Hungary. Shukla is set to become India’s second astronaut since Rakesh Sharma. Led by seasoned astronaut Peggy Whitson, the mission will conduct 60 scientific experiments involving 31 countries, promoting international space research and cooperation.
