TCS Denies Discrimination Allegations Amid US Employee Layoffs and Revenue Growth

TCS has been accused of discrimination against US employees, especially against former South Asian employees aged above 40. They claim that TCS is implementing biased layoffs. Criticism has been directed at the company for not taking action against Indian employees holding H-1B visas. However, TCS strongly rejected these allegations, stating that they are false and baseless. The company affirmed that they offer equal opportunities to all employees. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in the US is continuing its investigation into the matter.

Previously, three TCS employees in the UK were reported by The Guardian to have faced discrimination based on age and nationality. Meanwhile, TCS reported a 5.3% increase in revenue from its operations in the US, reaching ₹64,479 crores compared to the previous year. The company's employee termination rate rose from 13% to 13.3% in the fourth quarter. Due to uncertainty caused by US tariffs, TCS has announced that it will delay wage increases for 607,000 employees worldwide.TCS has also announced that wage hikes for its global workforce, including the US, will be postponed due to the impact of US tariffs, which have created global uncertainties.
