PM Paetongtarn Shinawatra has been suspended by Thailand's Constitutional Court over a leaked call with ex-Cambodian leader Hun Sen, where she criticized a Thai army commander.
The controversy ignited public outrage, fractured her ruling alliance, and led to growing street demonstrations.
Her approval rating dropped to 9.2%, and her party faces declining influence. Paetongtarn has 15 days to respond. Deputy PM Suriya Juangroongruangkit will serve as caretaker leader.
Meanwhile, her father Thaksin Shinawatra faces separate legal issues, including charges of insulting the monarchy.
