Her approval rating dropped to 9.2%, and her party faces declining influence. Paetongtarn has 15 days to respond. Deputy PM Suriya Juangroongruangkit will serve as caretaker leader.

Meanwhile, her father Thaksin Shinawatra faces separate legal issues, including charges of insulting the monarchy.
