Three Indians Kidnapped in Iran: ₹1 Crore Ransom Demand Shocks Families

Three Indian nationals have gone missing in Iran. This incident has been confirmed by the Indian Embassy in Tehran, which stated that a search operation is currently underway to locate them.The missing individuals have been identified as Husanpreet Singh from Sangrur, Punjab; Jaspal Singh from SBS Nagar; and Amritpal Singh from Hoshiarpur. According to the embassy, the trio landed in Tehran on May 1, and disappeared shortly after. The embassy also mentioned that they are in constant touch with the victims’ families and providing timely updates.

Family members claim a travel agent in Punjab had promised to send the three youths to Australia via the Dubai-Iran route and arranged their stay in Iran. However, the youths were allegedly kidnapped soon after landing. The kidnappers have demanded ₹1 crore ransom and even sent a disturbing video showing the youths tied up and bleeding from their hands. The kidnappers threatened to kill them if the ransom isn’t paid. Meanwhile, the agent who facilitated their travel has gone missing from Hoshiarpur, raising further suspicions.
