Three Indians Kidnapped In Iran Rescued By Tehran Police

The Indian Embassy announced that three missing Indian nationals in Iran have been safely recovered by Tehran police, providing immense relief to their loved ones.

The three men—Hushanpreet Singh (Sangrur), Jaspal Singh (SBS Nagar), and Amritpal Singh (Hoshiarpur)—all from Punjab, traveled to Iran on May 1 through an agent from Hoshiarpur. Shortly after arriving, they were kidnapped, tied up, and their captors demanded Rs 1 crore, sending photos to their families. Communication ceased after May 11, prompting families to reach out to the Indian Embassy in Tehran, which coordinated with Iranian authorities to locate them. An agent who facilitated their trip also went missing.

Tehran police eventually rescued the three men, but details about the kidnappers and motives remain unknown. Families have expressed immense relief at their safe return.
