US President Donald Trump made a key proposal to Canada. He announced that if Canada joins the US SETS (a defense system), it will receive free protection under the Golden Dome system; otherwise, it would have to pay 61 billion dollars.

"I want Canada to be part of this amazing Golden Dome system. I have told the country about this. However, if Canada wants to stay separate and still join this system, it will cost them 61 billion dollars. But if they join as the 51st state of America, they won’t have to pay a single dollar. They will get protection for free. I hope they consider this offer," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

Recently, Trump announced that the US is planning to establish a 'Golden Dome' missile defense system similar to Israel's 'Iron Dome.' The construction of this system will cost 175 billion dollars (approximately 15 lakh crores INR). This will enable the US to deploy weapons even in space. The system is expected to be operational by the end of 2029.
