Trump, Netanyahu Set For Gaza Ceasefire Talk At White House

Israeli PM Netanyahu will meet U.S. President Trump at the White House on July 7, as efforts to broker a Gaza ceasefire intensify. This marks Netanyahu’s third visit since Trump’s return to office.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed both sides are finalizing the date, with ending the Gaza war a key priority. Minister Ron Dermer will visit earlier to prepare.

Trump expects a ceasefire soon and has urged Israel to finalize a deal, while Israeli strikes continue. He also criticized Israeli prosecutors over Netanyahu’s corruption charges, linking them to U.S. aid.

The conflict was sparked by a Hamas-led assault on October 7, 2023, which left 1,219 people dead. Israel's response has left over 56,000 dead in Gaza, mostly civilians.
