Russian President Putin and U.S. President Trump will meet soon, confirmed Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov. The meeting’s schedule and setting are expected to be disclosed soon.
This will be their first meeting since Trump’s return to office. A White House official said it could happen as early as next week, amid U.S. pressure on Russia over the Ukraine war.
Trump said envoy Steve Witkoff had a productive meeting with Putin, calling it progress toward ending the war. Ushakov called the talks constructive and a step toward improved U.S.-Russia relations.
