UK Increases Visa Fees: Higher Costs for Indian Travelers

The visa fees for the United Kingdom have increased significantly. These revised fees came into effect from the 1st of this month, making travel to the UK more expensive. The standard UK visitor visa fee (for six months) has increased from ₹12,190 to ₹13,462, while the long-term visitor visa fee has risen to ₹45,792.

Additionally, the fees for a five-year visa have been raised to ₹81,726, and for a ten-year visa, they have increased to ₹1.02 lakh. The UK has also raised the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) fee from ₹1,060 to ₹1,696, but this facility is limited to certain countries.A large number of Indians visit the UK for business purposes, to meet family members, and to spend their holidays. With the increased visa costs, traveling to the UK will now be a greater financial burden for many.
