US Imposes Travel Ban on 12 Countries with Partial Restrictions on 7 More

The United States has imposed a travel ban on 12 countries, as announced by President Trump on Wednesday. This decision was taken due to concerns related to national security. Consequently, travel from Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen to the U.S. will be restricted.

The travel ban will take effect starting at 12:01 AM on the 9th of this month. In addition to the complete ban on these countries, the Trump administration has also placed partial restrictions on travelers from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela.

These measures aim to strengthen the security protocols for people entering the United States, while allowing limited travel from some countries with additional checks. The restrictions have caused widespread attention and debate regarding their impact on immigration and international relations.
