Washington, D.C., USA: A recent report suggests that certain healthcare professionals, particularly doctors, could be excluded from the newly proposed H-1B visa fees under national interest waivers.
According to updates shared on Monday, physicians may not have to pay the additional charges tied to H-1B applications. This comes shortly after the White House revealed a $100,000 fee for these visas, while also noting that exemptions would be considered on a “case-by-case basis” if they align with national interest.
Bloomberg journalist reporting on X cited White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers, confirming that doctors are likely among the professionals who could qualify for the exemption.
