New Delhi Restaurant, by celebrity chef Ranjan Dey, is an immigrant, LGBTQ and mixed-family-owned Indian restaurant. Established in 1988, it is one of the oldest Indian restaurant in the city – a true San Francisco legacy. New Delhi Restaurant is located in the ballroom of the former Hotel Ramona, built in 1914. The dining room is decorated with ornate pillars, exposed brick, and handmade Italian tiled floor, reminiscent of a Maharajah’s private banquet room offering an Indian Culinary Cultural romantic dining experience. New Delhi Restaurant serves tandooris, curries, and regional specialities from Punjab, Bengal, Goa, South India, Mughlai, and Kashmir, using the freshest local ingredients.
