Indian student dies in New Zealand

Wellington: Recently, before the incidents of Indian students losing their lives in America were forgotten, the death of an Indian student in New Zealand came to light. Gurjit Singh (28), a student from Punjab, died under suspicious circumstances. Gurjit's father, Nishan Singh, sold the farmland and sent him to New Zealand. Gurjit, who works for a telecom company in New Zealand, lives in Dunedin City.

It seems that Gurjit was murdered by an unknown person at his home a week ago. The officials who conducted a postmortem on his body revealed that he died after being stabbed multiple times with a sharp weapon. The police found that where Gurjit died, the mirror of the house was broken and he fell into a pool of blood.

Gurjit Singh's father Nishan Singh reached Dunedin city in New Zealand on Monday and shed tears over his son's death. He said that he will not be satisfied until the accused responsible for the death of his son is punished. The local police and representatives of the Sikh community stood by Nishan Singh. The Otago Punjabi Community Foundation Trust is trying to collect funds under the name of 'GiveLittle Page' and provide them to the family of Gurjit Singh. A suspect in this murder case has been arrested and detained by the police. The police stated that they were investigating the case from all angles.
