TANA New York Organizes Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam with Traditional TTD Rituals

Hicksville, New York, USA: Under the guidance of Telugu Association of North America (TANA) President Dr. Naren Kodali, the TANA New York team successfully organized the Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam Mahotsavam on June 6, 2026, at the AsaMai Hindu Temple in Hicksville, New York. The event witnessed the participation of nearly 500 devotees and was conducted in a spiritually vibrant atmosphere marked by devotion and traditional rituals.

The organizers, including New York Regional Coordinator Srinivas Bharthavarapu, Event Coordinator Prasad Koyi, Sucharitha Ananthaneni, and Rajitha Kalluri, stated that the event was held from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM and received an overwhelming response from devotees across the region.

The sacred ceremony was performed according to the traditions of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) under the leadership of renowned Agama scholar Sri Venkatacharyulu, Head Priest of Pittsburgh Temple, and Vedic scholar Sri Hanumantha Rao. The rituals were conducted with grandeur and devotion, invoking the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.

Several TANA leaders and community members attended the event, including Board Director Ravi Potluri, Treasurer Raja Kasukurti, Mid-Atlantic Regional Coordinator Phani Kantheti, New Jersey Regional Coordinator Sudheer Narepalepu, Youth Coordinator Srinivas Cherukuri, Foundation Treasurer Srinivas Oruganti, Foundation Trustee Satish Meka, and Dasaradh Talapaneni.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Potluri expressed happiness over the successful organization of the Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam in New York and described it as a memorable milestone in TANA’s history. He congratulated Srinivas Bharthavarapu, Prasad Koyi, and the New York team for their dedicated efforts in making the event a grand success.

The organizers also expressed gratitude to the devotees, donors, and supporters whose registrations and financial contributions helped make the event possible. Even devotees who were unable to register in advance had the opportunity to receive darshan, blessings, and prasadam.

Srinivas Bharthavarapu noted that preserving Telugu culture, traditions, and spiritual values while strengthening community bonds remains one of TANA’s key objectives. TANA leadership also appreciated the efforts of the New York organizing team for successfully coordinating the event.

The program received significant support from several team members and volunteers whose contributions played a crucial role in ensuring its success. Volunteer Ashritha Koyi's devotional musical performance emerged as one of the highlights of the event.

Special guest Ragini Srivastava, Town Clerk of the Town of North Hempstead, attended the ceremony and commended TANA for its continued service to the Telugu and Indian communities.
