NATS Dallas Food Drive Donates 918 Pounds to Texas Food Bank, Benefiting 765 Individuals

Dallas, USA: "Language is beautiful, service is the goal." With this guiding principle, the North American Telugu Society (NATS) continues to implement its mission through various community service initiatives. One of its prominent events is the annual Food Drive in Dallas, which took place once again this year.

In celebration of Gandhi Jayanti, from October 5 to October 31, NATS volunteers in Dallas gathered an array of food items, including over 1,000 cans of food. The donations were recently delivered to the Texas Food Bank, where they were received with gratitude.

According to the North Texas Food Bank, the 918 pounds of food donated by NATS were able to provide meals for approximately 765 individuals in need.

For the past 14 years, NATS has been organizing this annual Food Drive, and representatives from the North Texas Food Bank have consistently commended the organization for its ongoing support.

Bapu Nuthi, former president of NATS, expressed his appreciation to the youth volunteers, community members, and everyone who supported the initiative. He also extended his thanks to the donors for their generous contributions.

Special recognition was given to Ved Sricharan for his dedication and active involvement in the food collection efforts.

The event was made possible by the efforts of various coordinators, including Swapna Katragadda, Shravan Nidiganti, Advisor Surendra Dhoolipalla, and Dallas chapter members Sridhar Nyalamadugu, Badri Byyapu, Uday Pakalapati. NATS youth members Ved Sricharan, Advait, Arnav, Arihant, Atharv, as well as NATS former president Bapu Nuthi, NATS Board Director Rajendra Madala, SC Zonal Vice President Satya Sriramaneni, NATS Joint Treasurer Ravi Tandra, and Media Relations Coordinator Kishore Nare, all played crucial roles in organizing the event.

Shravan Nidiganti, Joint Coordinator of the Dallas Chapter, also thanked the donors who supported the Food Drive, including Swagath Biryanis, Value Financial Services, Arka Children's Academy, Hind Sight, Coppell Chess Club, and Farm2Cook.

Finally, NATS Chairman Prashanth Pinnamaneni and NATS President Madan Pamulapati congratulated the Dallas team for their successful execution of the Food Drive, which has now been a 14-year tradition.
